2009-12-06 Violence Altamont 1969

Dec. 6th 1969: Around 300.000 music lovers come to Altamont in California to listen to some rock bands like the Stones etc. Though it is California, the day ends soon, there's not sufficient light, food, security. The drugs are bad (acid).

2009-05-22 Dirt in the water

The other week I had to drive to a certain place, because of the ongoings there, took some pictures and films. Finally decided that I won't publish the material because it would be too delicate stuff and maybe a lot of people might get offended. 

There are subjects or topics, if you write about those, you can only expect to be beaten from all sides. 

With no way around. 

The following short film sequence is from this day. Looking at the dirt in the water, sometimes seeing faces, ... thinking.

Anyway, I rather like this kind of dirt than ... whatever.

Actually the Orignal Story ( http://twurl.nl/p3nxd1 ) was just about the folklore tradition of putting up MAYPOLES in Austria. Then I reread my article and found this:"2006 was the time of the bird flu and everybody was scared and talking about that. And what this young man is saying, is, that the bird flu will not do any harm to us, but rather will be scared by us. Ok, no one is talking about bird flu in this year 2008 so far. And maybe all the Austrian MayPoles drove the BirdFluBirds away :) ".Well, that was kind of a joke (on TV).Now three years later, the pig flu isn't a joke either. In the 60ies Josef Fritzl got convicted for rape. Was it a habit?

Unlike the US where penalties can add up to some hundred years in jail the probable punishment of Josef Fritzl in Austria will be real low (maybe 10 or 15 years).

 Why?

There isn't 'enough' law for- or against such a sort of crime.

And there aren't enough laws nowadays for or against many crimes on national and international levels.
